Premier Cru action from Deiss! A blend of 12 Alsatian Varieties! (a mixture of all the usual Alsace varieties, with a predominance of Gewürtzraminer, Riesling and Pinot Gris): Bright golden straw-yellow. The opulent nose features marmalady botrytis, honeyed tropical fruit and and sweet spice aromas. "AP: 05 19. The 2018er Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese AP 05 was harvested at 93° Oechsle in the Nikolausley and Gerdsgrub and was fermented down to fully fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. The wine offers a gorgeous nose dried herbs, hay, greengage, whipped cream, and smoky elements. From Les Casse-Têtes and Meursault Les Murgers de Monthelie. “This is aromatically similar to the Clousots but with more floral elements. There is even better volume and mid-palate density to the muscular medium weight flavors that coat the mouth with dry extract on the overtly powerful finish where a hint of bitter lemon arises. The name of this appellation comes from Mont de Lieu which marks the border between Burgundy and Champagne, illustrated by a marker stone dividing the two duchies which can be found on its summit. With a double exposure moving from south to southeast facing, this terroir benefits from a higher average temperature and more sunshine than the other Premiers Crus.
