A staple on the Wine Decoded list! Another ripping Rosso from Talenti. Superb balance and texture. Plush with beautiful supple tannins, luscious fruit, juicy acid, and plenty of intrigue.Just like Talenti's Brunello this has to be one of the best value Rosso's year in year out. It too has great harmony and is delicious straight out of the gate. It's like Dr Evil's Mini Me! All that red fruit, earthiness, baking spices, woody herbs, great energy and much, much more.

The 2023 Chianti Classico is terrific. In fact, it is one of the most complete wines of the year. Dark cherry fruit, leather, cedar, menthol and lavender all take shape in the glass. The 2023 is dense but not heavy. Even so, I would give it a few years to shed some baby fat. Is it traditional Chianti Classico? No. Is it bloody good? YES!! The 2021 Chianti Classico is an elegant, gracious wine. Crushed flowers, bright red-toned fruit, tobacco, cinnamon and dried flowers all take shape in a decidedly delicate, understated wine from Rampolla. A model of elegance and finesse, the 2021 is showing beautifully today. There is perhaps just a touch of VA in the bouquet, but it is not especially evident. Le Chiuse's Rosso di Montalcino just Keeps Getting Better! What a Rosso. I agree with Guido, it's dark and a little broody. Yet lively at the same time. Monteraponi 2024 CC takes after its name with a classical, elegant style. Fine with juicy acid, bright red fruit, deftly handled tannins with playful grip. Lovely bit of spice and perhaps a little stalk tannin. Thirst quenching mid-week Pizza wine well and truly sorted! A little earthy and savoury. Playful now. Rosso doing it right! Fuligni's 'Ginestreto' is beautifully poised. Ever so devourable this is classic Sangio! Excellent. True to the Fuligni style, perhaps with an extra bit of complexity for the wine at this stage of its life. A wonderful core of fruit. This is more in the mold of a baby Brunello than a playful Rosso.
