This Grenache from Heathcote received a few hours skin contact while being gently pressed, fermented without the addition of yeast to dryness in old French barrels and spent five months maturing on yeast lees. It is a delicately coloured rosé, fresh and fragrant of roses, red currant and under-ripe strawberry with a vibrant, dry, textured palate. It balances the line of having enough texture and flavour without having too much. It's proven to be a pleasurable wine to make as the harvest da

Dhillon by Bindi Glenhope Riesling 2023

Riesling | Victoria, Australia

This new project from the granite soils in the northern end of the Macedon Ranges at 460m above sea level is an exciting addition to our activities. The vineyard was established in 1995 and the fruit has ostensibly been “lost” interstate until new Victorian owners took over in spring 2021. The new regime has quickly invested in the infrastructure and fine-tuned activities and several top producers are sourcing fruit from this excellent site. Dhillon by Bindi Col Mountain Shiraz 2017

Shiraz/Syrah | Victoria, Australia

This wine, to state the obvious, has been quite a while coming! In 2014 we began making experimental ferments using four clones from this exciting vineyard and decided to mature the blended bottled wines until we felt they were settled and singing. The 2017 Col Mountain is based on the smooth and aromatic Shiraz clones PT23 and 1654 with a little of the robust and rich Yalumba and R6WV28. The Col Mountain wines, from deep red soil with a significant amount of shattered rock, are earthier and

Bindi Original Vineyard Pinot Noir 2022

Pinot Noir | Victoria, Australia

So silky and fine. The 2022 Original Vineyard spent 15 months in French barrels (one third new) and was bottled in mid July. This wine comes from our 1988 planting. The 2022 is super pure in red cherry, raspberry and ripe strawberry aromas. It is typically floral and gently spicy, a little savoury and very seductive. The palate is fresh, creamy, savoury, has fine tannins driving the supple and smooth fruit and flows beautifully long. It is very delicious. Michael D Limit 1

“Deep crimson-purple; it has an exotic perfumed bouquet, partly from the inclusion of one-third whole bunches, and partly from 18 months maturation in used Stockinger barrels. The power and length of the wine is extraordinary: the “drink to” date should prove conservative. Drink to 2040.” James Halliday, The Weekend Australian 98 Points
