"... this is really a baby Fonte Canale, so you know this offers a ton of value for the money."Another cracking white from Tiberio. I have just 1 bottle of 2021 Fonte Canale (Tiberio's top of the wazza Trebbiano vying for the best white of Italy) for myself. Given the quality of this entry level Trebbiano, my expectation are through the roof!Paul Kaan, Wine Decoded “Musky peach and apricot mix with crushed rocks and hints of lemon zest as the 2024 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo comes to
Montepuliciano from Abruzzo, Italy
Cerasuolo is a generic term used for Rosé in some parts of Italy. Tiberio have nailed this one. Bone dry, crunchy, juicy, vibrant, a wonderful refreshing zing from super fine acid. It's divine! A fine layer of tannin offers just enough grip to add textural intrigue. Guido's note is bang on. Don't overchill it. Definitely knock it back to 10°C and allow it to play in the low teens as you devour it.Paul Kaan, Wine DecodedThe 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo seduces with its perfumed blend of

Cerasuolo is a generic term used for Rosé in some parts of Italy. The 2022 is a stunner, can't wait to try the 2023. It's looking like this will be a stapple on the Wine Decoded list!Don't overchill it. Definitely knock it back to 10°C and allow it to play in the low teens as you devour it.Paul Kaan, Wine DecodedA translucent ruby in color, the 2023 Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo is lifted and finessed with a gorgeous bouquet of rose petals, cedar shavings, wild blueberries and crushed

In it's youth it needs plenty of air. You could easily drink a bottle over a few days. Put your decanter to work and throw this puppy around. Immediately, it weaves together, the loose edges smoothen, and the expression builds. A rich wine that remains energetic. Red and dark fruited, layered with baking spices, cloves and florals. Slatey tannins with a playful grip cleanse. Proper wine that will offer much more with time in bottle. It's an impressive introduction to Tiberio's reds. I can't wait
"... this is really a baby Fonte Canale, so you know this offers a ton of value for the money."Ridiculous for the coin. A closed nose takes time to coax out. Such fine, long acidity with deftly handled, super-delicate phenolics. Ridiculous texture. Building in the glass with incredible mid-palate weight tamed by chalky acid. Complex and harmonious. Aroma has a sense of spice. Almost skins, though skin contact is not employed. Such a beautiful Trebbiano full of an array of delights and intrig
Wickedly fresh, the 2023 Pecorino opens with a pretty blending of stone dust and white smoke, giving way to young peach and sage. This splashes across the palate with soft textural waves while maintaining fantastic energy. A spicy mix of sour lime and green apples saturate the senses. The 2023 cleans up beautifully, tart and mouthwatering, with a saline feel and a sensation of liquid stone. This zesty and wiry Pecorino from Tiberio is a total pleasure to taste.Eric Guido, Vinous 92 Points
The 2024 Pecorino wafts up with an airy mix of mint leaf, chamomile and green melon nuances. It opens with a burst of zesty acidity contrasted by hints of candied citrus, spice and tart Granny Smith apple. The 2024 leaves the palate completely refreshed as it finishes long yet crisp.Eric Guido, Vinous 91 Points
Delicious. A finessed development sees this out to play. The definition, precision and tension are impressive. The build in mid-palate weight is clearly a sign of quality fruit. Licks of light fresh herb and spice. Refined shape and flow with incredible length power with elegance. Fresh, crisp and thirst-quenching.Paul Kaan, Wine Decoded
Fascinating Pecorini. A little skin contact yields a lick of burnt match that sits nicely as a complexing line over complex fruits with citrus oils. Nicely developed its an example of a textural Pecorino. That will please those after a less funky pecorino than Pepe’s and a much more textural complete it cuts a fine balance between the full blown styles and the fresh precise ones. A lot to love here. Will hand a huge diversity of foods.Paul Kaan, Wine Decoded Feb 2026The 2021 Pecori
What a wonderful exploration of Trebbiano the wines of Ciavolich, Tiberio and Emidio Pepe. On the continuum Tiberio is the freshest with least oxidative handling, Ciavolich is in the middle and Emidio Pepe has the full beans! All are delightful expression and all that is left for us to do is enjoy and celebrate the difference. The 2024 is just the second vintage of Ciavolich's Trebbiano 'Fosso Cancelli' I've seen. Bought it on spec after devouring a bottle of the 2021. The 2024 is serious
Wonderfully floral and complex, the 2021 Trebbiano d'Abruzzo continues to improve in bottle with a perfumed bouquet that mixes apricot with crushed almond, yellow flowers and white smoke. This soothes the palate with its enveloping textures as a tinge of candied citrus enlivens ripe green apple and melon tones. It leaves the palate completely refreshed with a spike of acidity and mineral concentration, adding a crisp feel. Although enjoyable today, the 2021 is positioned for greatness over time
