Tua Rita Perlato del Bosco Rosso 2019

A pure expression of Sangiovese, the Tua Rita 2019 Perlato del Bosco comes from what Stefano Frascolla calls "an odd but ultimately very easy vintage" in terms of farming. This is a historic entry-level red that has been made since 1992 and is closing in on its 30th anniversary. The wood regime that favors large oak cask was tweaked in 2002, and the wine delivers lots of primary intensity and varietal purity in its current incarnation. This is one of the most Sangiovese-tasting Sangioveses made

Tua Rita Guisto di Notri 2019

In a sense, this wine is like the Bosco dei Sugheri but with the addition of one more grape variety in the blend. The Tua Rita 2019 Giusto di Notri is 80% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc and 8% Merlot. I tasted the wine shortly after it had been bottled. With 40,000 bottles made, it should start hitting the market now. The Giusto di Notri offers lots of dark primary fruit with important structure and texture in this classic vintage. Tua Rita Keir Rosso Toscana IGT Syrah 2019

A pure expression of Syrah that spends six months in amphorae, the Tua Rita 2019 Keir Rosso is a gregarious and super fun wine that is a joy to drink and a great conversation starter thanks to the crafty approach used in its winemaking. Long skin maceration times give the wine extra intensity. The tightly pored surface of the clay amphorae (that are fired in kilns at very hot temperatures and long durations) means that the wine gets less oxygen during winemaking. This contributes to its delicate

Tua Rita Per Sempre Syrah Toscana IGT 2016

Tua Rita's 2016 Syrah Per Sempre is fabulous. Crème de cassis, lavender, licorice, plum and blueberry jam are all beautifully delineated. Savory, powerful and also structured, the 2016 has plenty of intensity, but it also is not as dense or obvious as has been the case in the recent past. Readers should be prepared to cellar the 2016 for at least a few years. Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Tua Rita Redigaffi Toscana IGT 2019

I am a big fan of the 2019 vintage and, in most cases, prefer it to the 2018 vintage that is often harder to read (with alternating spells of cool and heat). But in the case of this wine, I like both vintages about the same for different reasons. The 2019 Redigaffi feels elegant and less hearty compared to its previous edition. This important Merlot-based wine delivers an immediate quality of fruit, with pretty freshness that renders a very lively and vivid mouthfeel. This is a sharp and well-de
