Robert Weil Rheingau Riesling Trocken 2019

On a spectrum of boldest to most elegant, the Rheingau sits in the middle for me, making cracking dry Rizza with plenty of tension whilst have the balance to produce superb off-dry to sweet wines. The 2019 Rheingau adds incredible depth and length for an entry-level wine. Citrus perfume, white flowers, a little sulphur on open. Give it a decant. Lovely line and length. Fine sherbet acid. Excellent level of phenolics cleaning the palate beautifully. Acid soaks up the sugar. Lime, zest, and

Robert Weil Kiedricher Riesling Trocken 2020

This is stunning. The wines of the Rheingau sit closer to the wines of the Rheinhessen than those of the Mosel or Pfalz. Weil’s in particular have a richness. This has such an intoxicating perfume. It really draws you in. So much going on here. As with all good German Rizza it has that elevage that even on release has it looking in divine shape. So fine long and divine. Robert Weil Kiedrich Klosterberg Riesling Trocken 2020

On a spectrum of boldest to most elegant, the Rheingau sits in the middle for me, making cracking dry Rizza with plenty of tension whilst have the balance to produce superb off-dry to sweet wines. "The 2019 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Auslese is precise and flinty on the nose that displays very fine raisin and honey aromas, spiced with notes of crushed slate. Charmingly round and elegant on the refined palate, this is a salty-piquant and stimulating Auslese with remarkable grip and finesse. A

Robert Weil Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Spätlese 2020

“The 2020 Kiedrich Gräfenberg Riesling Spätlese offers a deep, complex and refined bouquet with flinty aromas. Highly refined and elegant on the palate, this is a salty-piquant, fresh, vital and energetic Gräfenberg with a long, piquant and salty finish. Very young but really fascinating in its brilliance, piquancy and salinity” Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine Advocate
