Feinherb is a traditional German term that indicates quality. It has been permitted on German wine labels since 2000 but is actually part of an older set of terms used to describe the sweetness and quality of German Rieslings. While there is no strict definition, nor is it legally defined within German wine law, many growers use it for quality wines that are off-dry. Feinherb is often used in place of the less popular traditional designation ‘halbtrocken’, as well as for wines that are slightly sweeter than regulations dictate for halbtrocken wines.

As always this 100% single-quinta wine is drawn from Noval’s own vines. There are three core parcels, all near the winery—the terraces directly surrounding the winery in Pinhão, the vines in the Roncão Valley and a parcel overlooking the Douro River.  Each year, the blending proportions for the Vintage Port will vary depending on the vagaries of the vineyard."This is well defined on the nose, with dusky black fruit laced with graphite and clove [and] hints of liquorice, eucalyptus

Domaine William Fèvre Chablis Grand Cru Bougros 'Cote de Bouguerots' 2017

Domaine Olivier Leflaive Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 'En Remilly' 2022
This terroir protects the Montrachet vineyard from the frost. This historical terroir of Saint Aubin, ravaged by phylloxera was replanted during the seventies. Limestone soil. During the night, grapes are still warmed by the stones heated by the sun. Mineral character, like flint in a dynamic style.
