New Cuvée from 2021 – A parcel in chaume worked separately. This terroir is often used for sweet wines. Makes a great dry according to Thomas (...and Me!) highlighting again the importance of the flavour and phenolics from the skins. Yields of just 15-20Hl/Ha from very old vines give us a wine that is a delight in the glass! Always a favourite! In England they offer tea in the afternoon in the Mosel they offer Kabinett! Lythe, delicate and transparent. Fine acid with a little savoury reduction. A Vino de Pasto from the laminated Albarizas Barajuelas of Pago Macharnudo. Gold and green to look and smell. It has a semi-fermentated barley-sake-ricey-acetic tang and gourd skin, paddy-melon-in-the-cool-of-night-edginess. This was one of the first Italian white wines to grab my attention & was for a long time a house staple. Now it's back!
