A Baby Neb from the Family that Brought us the 8 Cru's, Sordo! This is your New House Neb!

Description

Along with Benevelli’s & Boasso Langhe Neb the GIOSO Nebbiolo d’Alba is Australia’s new house Neb!

Grown on the sunny, steep, sandy vineyards of the Roero region in between the left bank of the Tanaro river and the nearby Langhe region. It sees 9 months in large old oak before a short spell in tank and some bottle time.

The Roero is making excellent Nebbiolo. Many of you will know Sandrone’s Valmaggiore also from the Roero and along with their ‘Vite Talin’ my favourite of their Neb’s.

Bags of fun! A beautiful fragrance with a backbone of juicy fruit.

Nice élévage sees it drinking beautifully now. The acid balances beautifully to give it that thirst-quenching dimension. With a dusting of slatey tannin, it is just so easy to hook a glass. Layers of liquorice, woody earth, and a little spice rest around the core of fresh cherry fruit. The elegance of the Roero at play.

Packing so much Nebbiolo character into a bottle for the coin!

The Roero sits just to the North of the Langhe. Sordo’s vineyards for the Gioso Nebbiolo D’Alba are just on the other side of the Tanaro river.
