Nero d'Avola from Sicily, Italy
$41
Nero d’Avola, native to Sicily, is perfectly suited to hot dry climates. One of the reasons we’re seeing more of it planted in Australia. Although it’s grown in such a warm environment, it makes fuller bodied wines with freshness, partly from their retention of natural acid. With age they really come into their own. From the Eloro DOC (certified area) Barone Sergio is producing some cracking wine, both, white and red.

Shiraz/Syrah from Frankland River, West Australia
Beautifully refined with vibrant fresh fruit. Excellent élévage and exceptional mouthfeel. Plush and delicately spiced with a satisfying generosity and balanced twist of whole bunch."The 2021 Syrah is a haunting, glowing crimson in the glass. It balances the line of having enough mouthfeel and flavour without having too much. It's proven to be a pleasurable wine to make as the harvest date/ripene
Gamay Noir from Fleurie, Beaujolais
Perfumed, delicate, transparent, thirst quenching, mid to light weight. Delicious easy to devour. Nice flavour profile with a bit more earthiness coming through. Well developed and balanced. Excellent value.
White Blend from Macedon, Victoria
Rob & Remy talk about chasing phenolics and golden ripeness, tasting the skins. It shows in the personality of the wine, savoury textural even oily. Pear & ginger fruits with a perfume dancing over the top. That cleansing silvery line of bitterness that plays well. Fruits come with time in the glass. A little more freshness and energy than previous iterations that include Heathcote fruit.“This is such a wonderful wine its success is in its concentration of flavour and texture (
