Everything in it's place and a place for everything, and, there is lot's of things! The 2023 Dolcetto d'Alba is a gorgeous, quirky wine. Exotic flowers, spice, leather, licorice and cool, blue-toned fruits are all laced together in the glass. The 2023 was done with 60% stems, as is the custom here. Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte-de-Nuits
The 2022 Chambertin Grand Cru is another terrific wine from Trapet, unfurling in the glass with deep aromas of plums, cherries and sweet berries mingled with hints of warm spices, rose petals and coniferous forest floor. Full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's seamless and complete, with a layered core of fruit framed by sweet, powdery tannins. Pinot Noir from Morey-Saint-Denis, Côte-de-Nuits
Moderate reduction dominates the nose at present. There is both better complexity and mid-palate density to the still supple and delicious medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a more powerful and noticeably more structured finale. This has fine development potential and is a wine that will need at least some patience. Drink: 2030+Allen Meadows, Burghound 89-91 Points

"Discreet but perceptible wood frames the ripe essence of plum, red and dark cherry, violet and a touch of violet. There is equally good energy to the suave, round and richer medium-bodied flavors that possess a sophisticated mouthfeel thanks to the relatively fine-grained tannins shaping the serious, firm, and firmly austere, finale.
