Fresh crisp, lovely core of fruit. Line of acid with strong textural intrigue. Very fine line of silvery bitterness, excellent development in the context of the style. Spice baking at play with good drive to finish. Fun wine. Great expression. A Soave of importance at this level.

A more typical Soave style than the Salvarenza, beautifully built on a frame of quality fruit. Pear and citrus are cleansed by a very typical and lovely silvery line of bitterness. Long with a lovely mid-palate. A great mid-palate is a sign of a good wine!
A unique Soave, this wine along with Il Corincino's Verdicchio 'Gaiospino' was one of the first two wines that sparked my interest in Italian wine. It's a rich, textural interpretation of Soave, with great harmony, hints of spice, lovely phenolics (giving texture) and length. The age of the vineyards is reflected in the depth of fruit. FYI - Vecchie Vigne means 'Old Vines' and these are pre-phylloxera from a sandy sub-plot of the La Foscà vineyard.
