Domaine Jean-Jacques Nuits-Saint-Georges ‘Fleurieres’ 2019

Pinot Noir | Nuits-Saint-Georges, France

“One third whole bunch vinification. Medium deep purple with quite an elegant bouquet for south side Nuits-St-Georges, starting with delicacy and finishing with much more powerful dark fruit, and very good length of flavour.” Jasper Morris

Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 2019

Pinot Noir | Chambolle-Musigny, France

“Les Condemennes ripens very quickly but now they know and pick here first. Rich purple, with a bouquet to follow suit. Sunny ripe dark fruit but less exaggerated than the 2018 last year. Stops short of raisins but will suit those who like the riper side. Fair length, slightly less acidity, but attractive, and balanced enough.” Jasper Morris

“Dense dark purple. Powerful plums, a graphite note as well, significant density, the fruit swells right across the palate, a huge volume but the ripeness is perfectly judged, with an excellent length. This is very impressive. Reveling in the warmer vintage because the tannins are riper.”  Jasper Morris

Domaine Jean-Jacques Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er ‘Boudots’ 2019

Pinot Noir | Nuits-Saint-Georges, France

“Mid purple, with a no more intense but slightly more refined bouquet. There is a delicious sweetness of deep raspberry fruit, stretches well across the middle, very pure, which shows the class of the vineyard without quite matching the character of the Confuron Chaboeufs” Jasper Morris

Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru 2019

Pinot Noir | Chambolle-Musigny, France

“This is made mostly from Chatelots with a touch of Feusselottes. Fresh mid purple, the nose is not leaping out at first. Excellent intensity behind, a firmer style of Chambolle as Chatelots dominates. Good length and enough acidity to balance.” Jasper Morris

“Fine deep purple, the nose just suggests an immensity to follow, but it retains its restraint. Entirely harmonious in the mouth, with a luxurious density of fruit, and while the tannins are submerged the acidity is just present. The style is slightly more in red fruit than black, though both play their part in the ensemble. Quite a robust Romanée-St-Vivant, but plenty to look forward too.” Jasper Morris
