Pinot Noir from Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Burgundy

Domaine Anne Gros Hautes Côtes de Nuits Rouge 2022

The 2022 Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge comes from the same parcel as the white, though this is slightly less than a hectare. With cranberry and wild strawberry fruit on the feisty nose, it gradually calms down and attains commendable delineation. The medium-bodied palate has a slight piquancy on the entry, a crisp line of acidity and pastille-like red fruit on the finish. Drink over the next 3 or 4 years.Neal Martin, Vinous 85-87 Points

Chardonnay from Hautes-Côtes de Nuits, Burgundy

Domaine Anne Gros Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Blanc ‘Cuvée Marine’ 2022

This could pass for a Chablis on the nose with its cool and very aromas of iodine, shellfish and petrol nuances that add breadth to the mostly apple scents. The delicious middleweight flavors flash a lovely bead of minerality on the chiseled and bone-dry finish that is shaped by citrus-tinged acidity. This is really quite good for its level and worth considering. Drink: 2025+Allen Meadows, Burghound 86-89 Points ♥ Outstanding

Pinot Noir from Vougeot, Côte-de-Nuits

Domaine Anne Gros Clos de Vougeot ‘Le Grand Maupertui’ Grand Cru 2022

The 2002 Clos de Vougeot le Grand Maupertui Grand Cru, which comes from vines born in 1904, is endowed with darker fruit than the Grands-Echézeaux. Well-defined, maybe a little opulent in style, yet still controlled. The palate is well-endowed with dark berry fruit, more black than red, pain d'épice and white pepper. There’s plenty of substance and grip towards the finish. But it is always elegant and deserves 10-12 years in bottle. Excellent. Drink: 2030-2065Neal Martin, Vinous 95-97 P

Pinot Noir from Flagey-Echézeaux, Côte-de-Nuits

Domaine Anne Gros Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru 2022

The 2022 Grands-Echézeaux Grand Cru is the maiden vintage under the Anne Gros label, the parcel having previously been vinified by Bernard Gros (Gros Frère & Soeur) under a fermage. It has a very well-defined bouquet, dark berry fruit intermixed with crushed limestone and wilted rose petals, understated at first and only gradually gaining intensity. The medium-bodied palate has filigree tannins, tensile from the start, with a keen thread of acidity. It fans out wonderfully towards the fin
