The 2024 Pecorino wafts up with an airy mix of mint leaf, chamomile and green melon nuances. It opens with a burst of zesty acidity contrasted by hints of candied citrus, spice and tart Granny Smith apple. The 2024 leaves the palate completely refreshed as it finishes long yet crisp.Eric Guido, Vinous 91 Points
Delicious. A finessed development sees this out to play. The definition, precision and tension are impressive. The build in mid-palate weight is clearly a sign of quality fruit. Licks of light fresh herb and spice. Refined shape and flow with incredible length power with elegance. Fresh, crisp and thirst-quenching.Paul Kaan, Wine Decoded
A unique Soave, this wine along with Il Corincino's Verdicchio 'Gaiospino' was one of the first two wines that sparked my interest in Italian wine. The age of the vineyards is reflected in the depth of fruit. FYI - Vecchie Vigne means 'Old Vines' and these are pre-phylloxera from a sandy sub-plot of the La Foscà vineyard. The 2021 Soave Classico Contrada Salvarenza Vecchie Vigne displays a deep golden color, wafting up with notes of crushed almond, stone dust and Asian pear. It floods the

AP 16.20 The 2019er Hofberg Spätlese, as it is referred to on the consumer label, was harvested at 93° Oechsle from vines planted in 1953 on the main hill of the vineyard, and was fermented down to sweet levels of residual sugar. It proves quite backward and reductive at first, but only gradually reveals its rich and juicy nose of yellow peach, spices, golden apple, honeyed pear, and a hint of camphor. Plenty of honeyed and juicy yellow fruits give the wine some Auslese allure on the sweet pal
Chardonnay from Chablis, Burgundy
The pedigree of this fruit at the Chablis level is pretty bloody good! It's from a 50 year old parcel adjacent to the Grand Cru, Blanchot!Bloody tasty Village. Beautifully weighted and developed. Often at this level Chablis can be thin and raw. Testut here, as with all his wines shows a deft touch in raise the wine and building generosity. A wine that can be hoovered now, it’ll drink well over the next few years. Great flow across your palate, fine, sophisticated, perfect everyday drinking
Riesling from Mosel, Mosel-Saar-Ruwer
Made primarily from Goldtröpchen fruit, with some grapes sourced from two more elevated vineyards, delicate playful fun dry Rizza, juicy with zippy acid. Hints of musk earthiness and a couple of savoury pops. This is very clever stuff. Nicely developed for an entry level wine it’s excellent. When you drink concentrate on the mouthfeel, the shape of the wine as it flows across your palate and clean finish.
White Blend from Macedon, Victoria
“So the wine is two thirds a marsanne and roussanne blend and the rest a considered portion of chardonnay. Fancy oak, as is often the way of POCW, is also applied. I loved this from hello. Texture, weight, a slice of fresh cut, just ripe stone fruit acidity, a fuzz to the overall feel with some dollops of nougat amongst it all. Fragrant, full flavoured yet refreshing, a saline trill that speaks of minerality. It’s a cuddly wine with enough zestiness to refresh with each sip. Delicious drinki

Schloss Gobelsburg have got élévage all sorted! Exposure to oxygen at the right times in the right amounts for the right length of time has a clear and impressive impact on the phenolics and the textural components. Lovely scent of elderflower and citrus blossom. Very subtle green leafy herb and perhaps a faint mint.Excellent acid profile and weight with length and flow from a fine texture with just enough phenolic grip to act as a cleansing element. Mid-palate weight combines with excel
Chardonnay from Picadilly Valley, Adelaide Hills
The build in intensity of this very complete wine is clear. Yes the acid is there, it has the depth and length to hold it. The mid-palate weight is exceptional and oak use (⅓ new) refined, layered and harmonious.Perfumed with white flowers, a little baking spice crème pat. Super citrus, white grapefruit and stunning intense lime.Tasting the 3 side by side as a great way to explore depth, length and shape of fruit. The separator from so many Chardonnays on the market is the texture,

AP 12.18 The 2017er Dhroner Hofberg Spätlese was harvested at 92° Oechsle in a prime parcel planted in the 1950s. It delivers a beautiful nose of whipped cream, vineyard peach, smoke, almond, earl grey and yellow plum. The wine offers great, almost concentrated presence on the mid-palate, yet a juicy and racy kick of acidity adds layers upon layers of freshness and intensity to the finish. This is a great success! 2027-2047Jean Fisch & David Rayer, Mosel Fine Wines 94 Points
White Blend from Alavesa, La Rioja
Mostly Viura with a splash of Malvasia and Palomino in the blend. Chalky acid with a little phenolic grip. Perfumed with jasmine nectar and grapefruit notes., Maple syrup, tea and a pinch of baking spices. A fascinating drink. Excellent acid profile over a mid-weight frame. A little oxidative handling offers nutty and toasty pops whilst the wine remains fresh. An energising approach, quite different to the super oxidative Viuras. A ripping incarnation. The 2022 Finca de Los Locos is s

Delicious again their seems to be a lift in the flow shape and texture, elegance and refinement here for Weil. Stunning wine. Richness and delicacy. Chalky acid phenolic complex. Fine elegant delicious. Fine acid. Perfumed white flowers. Power of fruit with weightlessness. Soft acid. The most exceptional lime cordial fruit. More delicacy and white flowers. Each of these wines would stand beautifully on its own. “The 2021 Kiedrich Turmberg Riesling Trocken is pure and coolish on the
