A great way to experience 2015!

Semillon from Sauternes, Bordeaux

Château Rieussec Carmes de Rieussec Sauternes 375ml 2015

The 2nd Wine of Château Rieussec, Carmes has to be the absolute bargain of all Sauternes at the Moment! I hoovered a bottle of this and was blown away. Vibrant, lovely layering of fruit, beautiful poise, excellent texture with great length. Fresh Apricot, spice, hints of patisserie creams. Luscious, delicious. The quality of the 2015 vintage sees it sitting at quality levels similar to the main wine in a standard year!Carmes de Rieussec’s name is a reference to the Carmelite monks in Lang

Semillon from Barsac, Bordeaux

Château Doisy-Daëne Barsac 375ml 2015

Always one of my favourite sweet Bordeaux makers! I've always had a soft spot for Doisy-Daëne. The defining difference, beautiful balance.40% Sauvignon Blanc, 60% Semillon from 50+ year old vines."The 2015 Doisy-Daene has a detailed bouquet, very correct, nothing showy or flamboyant as is typical of Denis Dubourdieu's Barsac. Château Rieussec, 1er Cru 2015
Nectar of the Gods!

Semillon from Sauternes, Bordeaux

Château Rieussec, 1er Cru 2015

Rieussec along with Climens, de Fargues, Doisy-Daëne & of course d'Yquem is one of my favourite sweet whites from Bordeaux. The complexity and sophistication of the wine, particularly after is has had 10+ years in bottle is stunning. Beautiful to drink young, divine to drink with a little age on it. I had a half of 1996 early this year. Stunning!

Semillon Gris from Swartland, South Africa

Sadie Family Swartland Kokerboom 2024

The 2024 Kokerboom is a blend of Sémillon Blanc and Gris. Mellow on the nose, this is the most timid of Sadie's '24s at the moment, with very light wet wool and earthy aromas. The palate is very spicy on the entry, with a touch of ginger, linear and minimalist for Sémillon, with a bright, sapid, slightly fiery finish. Very fine.Neal Martin, Vinous 92 Points
