Well I couldn't find a review of this and haven't had a chance to taste it. Given the other 9 wines from 2016 and 2017 I've tried it's hard to see this being anything but true to form and simply put a 2017 version of the 2016!My Note on the 2016:Opens with juicy crunchy fruit that takes just a little while to settle in. More immediately overt than the others. There’s a build in tannin here that when you relate it back to the vineyard location near Rugien and listen to Anne Parents

Jesus wept on the Bones of Saint Gratto! The very blood of Christ! Stunning. If I ever made a wine of this caliber I'd retire on the high. Galloni's note is bang on! The acid-tannin complex steps up again from the 'standard' Riserva. The tannins are layered, of depth, fine and long. You can ever so easily lose yourself in the glass! Mind-boggling!"The 2016 Gattinara Riserva Osso San Grato is magnificent. Elegant and weightless, with tremendous precision, the 2016 is all class. Rose petal

“Generous and enveloping, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Champonnet mingles aromas of raspberries, plums and wild strawberries with scents of baking spices and orange zest, followed by a medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy palate”  William Kelley, The Wine Advocate 93 Points“This is aromatically similar to the Evocelles though the fruit is a bit more deeply pitched as it includes hints of dark currant and plum. The delicious and tension filled flavors are also on the ligh

Dominio de Pingus ‘Flor de Pingus’ 2021

Red Blend | Spain, Castilla y León

The 2021 Flor de Pingus is a village wine from La Horra, made with small vinifications by plot and then a blending exercise, so it’s the wine they feel is most their style. They look for texture, looking for a delicate and elegant wine. The nose is very subtle and harmonious, super clean and with a lot of focus. There are no traces of oak on the nose. The profile of the wine is more in line with 2018 or 2016 than with 2015 or 2019. This has a velvety texture, an elegant mouthfeel and so

The E. Pira e Figli - Chiara Boschis 2020 Barolo Mosconi has some of the extra ripeness of the vintage with cherry cream syrup, grenadine, watermelon candy and a drop of Pastis. The wine ends on a powerful note with a balanced combination of fruit and fine oak tannins. The palate is very alive, and the fruit feels very vibrant at this young stage.Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate 96 Points AG 95 JD 98

Domaine SC Guillard Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru 'Poissenot' 2021
Dripping with class!
‘Poissenot’ is situated above Lavaux St Jacques on the northern ridge of Gevrey. Deepest color of the 21’s and the most complex and pure on the nose, red fruit compote, cherry liquor and florals abound, complex super pure and transparent. The most complex of the 3 1er cru’s.Delicious palate intense sappy energetic, will live a very long life. It’s expansive but coiled and opens beautifully in the glass and gets longer and more intense as it breaths.Drink 2026-2040+Tom Carso

Luigi Pira Barolo ‘Vigna Rionda’ 2020

Nebbiolo | Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo

In recent times, Vigna Rionda gets spoken about as the grand cru of the Langhe – altitude, exposure and soil profile play an integral part. As expected, this is Giampaolo’s flagship wine. The oak regime is similar to the ‘Marenca’ but with a larger portion of newer oak – around 30%. Ultra-powerful and layered in fragrances, flavours and textures. Smoke, graphite, incense, stock/porcini, sweet tobacco, violets. All this character is underpinned by a fierce, tingling acid line and a comp

A subtle but not invisible application of wood sets off cool aromas of plum, violet and a blend of red and dark currant. The succulent, round and plump middleweight flavors that possess good richness and solid volume, all wrapped in a dusty, serious and notably firmer finale. This is also a very fine example of the genre also worth your attention. ♥ Outstanding Top valueAllen Meadows, Burghound 89-92 Points The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny Village has an elegant bouquet with red berries

Slightly more apparent wood surrounds the overtly floral aromas of white and yellow peach and fennel. There is excellent intensity to the concentrated and unusually powerful flavors that culminate in a clean, very dry and impressively long finale. This too is a very fine villages level wine and one that will age. Outstanding ♥Allen Meadows, Burghound

"A softly perfumed and pretty red berry fruit nose is also trimmed in just enough oak influence to merit pointing out. The round, fleshy and solidly voluminous middle weight flavors possess a refined mid-palate texture that carries over to the youthfully austere and highly persistent finale. This lovely effort needs to develop better depth, but more should develop if it's allowed at least a few years to mellow in a cool cellar."Allen Meadows, Burghound ♥ Outstanding
