The Fabrice Session 🎧 & 🎥 Inside!

Pinot Noir from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Vallée de la Marne

R.Pouillon Rosé Brut MAGNUM NV

Such a beautiful Rosé. If finding a good wine is hard, finding tasty Rosé Champagne is a true mission. There are so many tricked up hard angular wines. Fabrice has got it all going on here. Rosé made by allowing fruit skin contact rather than dosing a white wine with some Red really does appear to offer a much more refined result. This one has lovely fresh, yet developed, red fruits, a little savoury edge and so much more going on. The halmark Pouillon harmony and energy. Just that very sligh

Egly-Ouriet Brut Rosé Grand Cru Base 19 NV

One of the greatest rosé wines of Champagne and a wine of haunting finesse. The blend is 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, with 50% from the 2019 vintage and the reserve wines split between 2018 and 2017. The dosage is a negligible 1 g/L. Interestingly, this is always Egly’s most delicate wine. It’s unbelievably fine, perfumed, delicate and red-fruited; something truly special. 48 months on lees.Disgorged July 2024

Delicious playful, tighter at the moment. 100% pinot same élévage as Cramant. Lovely flowing Sherbety fine. The core of fruit is solid. Building as it warms, beautifully weighted fruit of exceptional length. A lovely spice, vibrant red fruit. Excellent development. Champagne Vouette et Sorbée Fidèle Blanc de Noirs NV MAGNUM (Base 2019)

A counterpoint to the Blanc d'Argile Blanc de Blanc. Fidèle demonstrates Gautherot's skills with both colours. 100% Pinot and disgorged with zero dosage, the quality of fruit laps up the acid with a lingering thirst-quenching finish. Red, sherbety fruit is complimented with a subtle savoury layer, and seamless complexing influences from the base wine's time on lees in old wood and that splash of reserve wine. A delicious drink!
