Mocha, black cherry and floral-infused aromas introduce less concentrated but sleeker middle weight flavors that possess a beguiling textured are shaped by more polished and finer-grained tannins on the more complex and persistent finish. This is quite pretty and should also age well. The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots ler Cru has a floral bouquet, with wilted rose petals infusing the vivacious red cherry/crushed strawberry fruit and just a touch of incense. Very poised, the palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannins. It is slightly ferrous toward the finish that lingers nicely. Once again the nose is wonderfully fresh and even spicier with its aromas of poached plum and liqueur-like dark pinot fruit that is also tinged with exotic tea wisps. There is noticeably better density to the caressing and seductively textured yet decided powerful flavors that brim with dry extract before concluding in a moderately austere and hugely long finale. This was one of the few wines in the line-up to display any appreciable reduction and in this case it's enough to mask the underlying fruit. The suave, round and highly seductive medium-bodied flavors possess a caressing texture yet there is good underlying power to the acceptably long and complex finale.
