Wow there is some zip. The blend is more than the sum of its parts. The different perfumes: violets and fading flowers, fruits: red, rhubarb, blood orange, a little musk, spice and beyond marry offering a complex profile. The step up in sophistication from the Field blend is clear. There’s more composure. The line and length are on show. Harmony and shape to the palate. The finish here sees excellent persistence. This is the Aussie half of the collaboration making Australian Riesling in the German way.Sam called 2023 a 1:20 year. A cool year with significant diurnal shift allowing for a longer hang time.
