1973 Bailey's Cabernet Shiraz Tahbilk Shiraz Hero for Wine Decoded by Paul Kaan

Couple of Central Victorian Reds from Two of Australia’s oldest producers!

They always seem to have rustic chewy tannins, savoury fruit, yet retain freshness, not heading to that jammy state and can be incredibly long lived.

Not only does this highlight how regions can impact wine styles and just how big Victoria is, it once again demonstrates the importance of always trying something new (old in this case) or different. Yumminess has no limits!

Tahbilk Shiraz a delicate, fine wine, thinning out, would have been better 10 years ago.

Bailey’s Cabernet-Shiraz CORKED! #FUCork A real shame under it was some amazing fresh fruit of depth and a tannin structure that gave a mouthfeel perfect for the steak on the plate! Would love to see it without the Cork Taint.
