Vibrant, energetic and well-developed at the same time. The 2021 Il Poggione Brunello presents with a fresher, fine style consistent with the vintage in Montalcino. Savoury & a little bloody, earthy & layered, with complexity from an array of subtle herbs and spices. Expressive. Orange citrus acid combines with slatey tannins to add textural intrigue to a core of red fruits that, whilst light on their feet, have considerable length and depth.
