Pinot Noir from Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte-de-Nuits
Ripe aromas of plum, black cherry and earth enjoy a floral top note accompanied by a hint of the sauvage. There is excellent volume to the suave and seductive yet sleek medium-bodied flavors that possess a caressing texture, all wrapped in a finer but equally structured finish. Good if not truly distinguished quality here. Drink: 2026+Allen Meadows, Burghound
Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte-de-Nuits
This is openly floral with its pretty and relatively high-toned nose of fresh red currant, pomegranate and herbal tea aromas that are trimmed in a hint of the sauvage. The lively and sleekly textured middle weight flavors exude a subtle bead of minerality on the well-delineated yet supple finish that is supported by dusty tannins on the slightly warm finale. This is a very good Gevrey villages that isn't quite so structured but one that will still need at least a modicum of patience. Drink: 2027
Pinot Noir from Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte-de-Nuits
Stunning nose of Amarena cherry. Amazing concentration with wonderful elegance and vitality. Super-silky tannins for Nuits-Saint-Georges. Very long, intense yet delicate finish.95-96 Points, Stuart Pigott – James Suckling
Pinot Noir from Gevrey-Chambertin, Côte-de-Nuits
‘Poissenot’ is situated above Lavaux St Jacques on the northern ridge of Gevrey. Deepest color of the 21’s and the most complex and pure on the nose, red fruit compote, cherry liquor and florals abound, complex super pure and transparent. The most complex of the 3 1er cru’s.Delicious palate intense sappy energetic, will live a very long life. It’s expansive but coiled and opens beautifully in the glass and gets longer and more intense as it breaths.Drink 2026-2040+Tom Carso
Pinot Noir from Morey-Saint-Denis, Côte-de-Nuits
"A softly perfumed and pretty red berry fruit nose is also trimmed in just enough oak influence to merit pointing out. The round, fleshy and solidly voluminous middle weight flavors possess a refined mid-palate texture that carries over to the youthfully austere and highly persistent finale. This lovely effort needs to develop better depth, but more should develop if it's allowed at least a few years to mellow in a cool cellar."Allen Meadows, Burghound ♥ Outstanding
Pinot Noir from Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte-de-Nuits
This beautifully sited vineyard sits directly above Nuits St Georges adjoining 1er cru Les Pruliers. Average age of vines more than 35+yo and this is one the “sweet-spot” wines of his portfolio always showing excellent expression and balance with notable floral lift to the aromas giving a very attractive and accessible wine with notable elegance yet remarkable depth.
Pinot Noir from Nuits-Saint-Georges, Côte-de-Nuits
"A more restrained but equally pretty nose displays a broad range of floral nuances along with pretty spice nuances on the red and dark currant scents. The sleek and nicely elegant medium-bodied flavors possess a really lovely mouthfeel as well as excellent length on the compact, youthfully austere and balanced finale. Note that this is sufficiently structured to require at least a few years of cellaring before it will be approachable." 2032+Allen Meadows, Burghound ♥ Outstanding

Pinot Noir from Chambolle-Musigny, Côte-de-Nuits
Check out Burghound's review! Laurent Ponsot has farmed a tiny 0.31 of a hectare in Chambolle since 2002. The Domaine Ponsot bottling was called Cuvée des Cigales and, in spite of our protestations, the wine from this vineyard has never made the trip to Australia—until now. Burghound must have tasted this at a different stage to us as what we encountered was a beautifully rich and layered red Chambolle that was at the same time classically detailed and floral, yet with the opulence and text
Pinot Noir from Chambolle-Musigny, Côte-de-Nuits
A whiff of reduction is just enough to shave the top notes from the otherwise attractive and ripe aromas of black cherry, spice and raspberry. The sleek, rich and vibrant flavors possess very good volume, indeed they are attractively succulent, all wrapped in a raspy and compact finish where a hint of wood arises.Allen Meadows, Burghound 88-90 Points The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Village is showing beautifully, offering up aromas of cherries, raspberries and blood orange mingled with r
Pinot Noir from Aloxe-Corton, Côte du Beaune
"Abundant menthol and wood nuances are present on the ripe aromas of black raspberry and sauvage scents. The dense, plush and less powerful flavors also exude evident minerality on the austere, focused and balanced finish that isn't quite as complex. Note that this classic Corton is also quite compact and in need of extended cellaring."Allen Meadows, Burghound
