This is the tip of the Rizza iceberg! It’ll give you a bloody good look into the world of Riesling. Like any variety you can grow Riesling successfully all around the world, and, make it in a vast array of styles. Some of the oldest vineyards in existence today are planted with Rieslings. The Schloss Volrads Riesling vineyards in Germany are over 800 years old! From fresh crisp and dry styles to textured styles, and icewein made from frozen grapes, pretty much anything is possible. Many in Australia and around the world are experimenting with long periods of time in contact with skins and use of the new, yet ancient, amphora to ferment the wines in.
