Ripasso refers to a winemaking technique used for red wine production in Valpolicella. A Valpolicella Ripasso DOC is a medium-bodied wine with good alcohol content. It is obtained by the refermentation of the basic Valpolicella on the pomace of the “Amarone della Valpolicella” and/or “Recioto della Valpolicella” wines (“Ripasso” means “re-pass”). Thanks to this process, the wine is characterized by higher alcohol content, higher values of the phenolic substances and extracts than a basic Valpolicella.

Vincent Dauvissat Chablis 2019

Chardonnay | France, Burgundy

Here too there is very fine typicity with its ripe but cool nose of white peach, pear, iodine and pretty floral nuances that also include a whiff of citrus confit. There is equally fine volume to the rich yet well-detailed flavors that flash a lovely mineral streak on the refreshingly dry finale. Good stuff in a robust and powerful style that should repay mid-term aging. Drink 2025+ ♥ OutstandingAllen Meadows, Burghound
"A brilliant rendition of Vincent Dauvissat's emblematic premier cru, the 2017 Chablis 1er Cru La Forest reveals a complex bouquet of oyster shell, crisp green apple and lemon oil mingled with notes of dried white flowers and freshly baked bread. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and complete, with a deep and concentrated core, striking energy and cut and a long, mineral finish. Amounting to some 4.5 hectares, La Forest accounts for a third of the domaine's surface area, s
The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Virondot 1er Cru is a worthy follow-up to the impressive 2022. Very complex and harmonious on the nose, it just could not be from anywhere but Chassagne, combining very subtle yellow fruit notes with stirring mineralité. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It's quite energetic at the moment, which will hopefully be captured in the bottle. There's a very sustained spicy aftertaste that completes a great Chassagne.Neal Martin, Vinous 9

Vietti Barolo ‘Brunate’ 2018

Nebbiolo | La Morra, Italy

The 2018 Barolo Brunate is a deep, layered wine that is going to need at least a few years to come together. Today, the Brunate is quite primary and backward, but all the ingredients are there. Sage, menthol, licorice, dried flowers and spice build with a bit of coaxing. Drink 2028 - 2048 Galloni
