Feeling Thirsty?

Bürklin's 2021 Pechstein G.C. shows a deep, pure, intense and saline, very complex and elegant bouquet of concentrated tropical fruit aromas intertwined with flinty, iodine and citrus aromas. Pure, very intense and concentrated on the palate, this is a full-bodied, rich, iodine-inflected and stimulatingly saline Pechstein with fine tannins and a long, dense, complex and tensioned finish. 12.5% stated alcohol. Tasted at the domaine in November 2022. Drink 2029-2055 Stephan Reinhardt, The Wine

Vietti Barolo ‘Cerequio’ 2018

Nebbiolo | Barolo (sub-region), Italy

The 2018 Barolo Cerequio is a new wine in this range. Soaring aromatics and bright, red-toned fruit give the Cerequio its effusive personality. Nuanced and deep, with tremendous complexity and tons of character, the Cerequio is dazzling. This is everything a great Barolo from Cerequio should be. In other words: textbook. More over, it's one of the best wines of this very uneven vintage. Drink 2028 - 2048 Galloni

The tannins show an edge more grip than the Premises in a good way. A bolder iteration with fruit driving the full length of the palate. A little mocha and orange peel with a pop of licorice on that same graphite mineral feel. This merits a decant when young. The 2020 Cornas Empreintes is slightly minty and herbal up f

Swinney Farvie Grenache 2022

Grenache | West Australia, Australia

Freshness, delicacy and transparency all the way. Perfumed and floral with fine tannins incorporating a layer of stalk tannin. Tea and fresh blood orange on a core of vibrant blue fruits, with a savoury element, a little quality reduction. An exceptional example of grape first Grenache. A tiny splash of just 4% Mourvèdre in the mix here. Halliday 96 points Jukes 19+ Jordam 98
