Taut and complex, apricot stone, crisp pear, lemon – yet ultimately more savoury spice than ripe fruit. Lifting ethereal elements of pine needles, nutmeg and white pepper. Defined shoulders and tensile power, with a shockingly fine and elegant grip. Cool and considered on the long, lingering finish. Don't let the outer calm fool you, this is not a Riesling to be trifled with. Nor to be touched for another few years.” JancisRobinson.com 18+ Points“The 2021 Kiedrich Gräfenberg

Thibaud Boudignon Anjou Blanc à Francois(e) 2022

Chenin Blanc | Loire Valley, Anjou

Made from a small parcel in the village of Saint-Lambert, the 2022 Anjou Blanc à Francois(e) is a mouth-filling style without any heaviness. The generosity of the 2022 season has been curbed, and there's a nervousness and slightly reductive nature that keeps it tight. Expect an attractive sourness from the acidity and salinity. The finish has a nice twist of savory character with 20% new oak (500-liter and cigar format). Time is needed here to ameliorate.Rebecca Gibb MW, Vinous 93 Points

Perfumed. Wonderful shape and flow. Savoury and earthy with roses. A certain delicacy. Beautifully spiced, aromatically a little more developed yet fresh and vibrant, playful with a generosity. Clearly needs a little more time to come together and settle the acid tannin complex layering in nicely. Long and nutty tannins. The freshness of the 2021 vintage.A superb expression of Verduno.Gardini 98 Points ID 94 Points GW 93+ Points**Arriving in multiple tranches beginning September + be

Giovanni Sordo Barolo 'Rocche di Castiglione' 2021
Gardini 96 ID 91+ GW 95
Bold and ripe fruit with a richness on the nose that needs time to settle. The faded flowers are really coming through with time in the glass. The umami needs time to pull back. More balanced on the palate than nose in its youth. Fresh, vibrant and energetic the acid comes through fine and long with a darkness from that tar / licorice / slate character around a core of red fruit. Such a flavourful wine.Gardini 96 Points ID 91+ Points GW 95 Points**Arriving in multiple tranches beginning

Giovanni Sordo Barolo ‘Perno’ 2021

Nebbiolo | Piedmont, Barolo

Classic Sordo Perno, The darkness and oppulence of fruit on the nose. The palate very tightly would closed. Yet you can see the core of fruit behind it. Juvenille and in need of the usual 5 years to settle. Everything in its place and ready to go. Inkling of the truffle and secondary character.Grab a 2021 Ca' di Press Barolo 'Perno' for a tasty side by side.Paul Kaan, Wine DecodedID 94

Dark horse. Brooding, it looks a little mean at the moment. It will definitely fall into line and become a generous and juicy wine. A gravity and immediate presence to it. A load of complexity here a little coffee and tea and bit more Serralunga. Long firm tannins. ID 92+ Points**Arriving in multiple tranches beginning September + beginning of October 2025**

Barale Barolo ‘Castellero’ 2018

Nebbiolo | Italy, Barolo

A Divine Expression! This builds nicely in the glass, as a young wine, and has a presence and length about it. A full mid-palate carries through with excellent persistence. The energy of 2018 is present with fine acid and a complex set of intriguing flavours, a background resinous note over savoury, truffled fruit that has been beautifully developed draws you in. There’s some clever thinking in the making here.

Barale Barolo ‘Bussia’ 2019

Nebbiolo | Piedmont, Barolo

Moving to Monforte at the top of Bussia we see the hallmarks of the top Bussia. The acid tannin complex is true to the form for the commune showing a playful grip. Bright red fruit with a certain delicacy combine with energetic acid.Again a beautiful perfume with a dark mineral slatey edge. Blood orange and a little phenol. Another great example of grape first Barolo showing its part of the commune of Monforte. Like the Monrobiolo a few more years in bottle will see this resolve, build and
