Skin contact shows in the best possible way. The phenolics have a lovely delicacy, perfumed, and wonderful precise flavour long fine sophisticated, a real delicacy and transparency phenolic handling is excellent. Spice and florals at play, so fresh and energetic with a silvery line of bitterness. Superb drink.A Ried (single vineyard wine) of the Smaragd classification, the highest classification for wines from the Wachau.

Domaine Marc Morey Bourgogne Blanc 2022

Chardonnay | France, Burgundy

Airy and fresh aromas include those of mostly white orchard fruit and discreet citrus wisps. The succulent, delicious and attractively textured middleweight flavors display good length on the mildly rustic bitter lemon-tinged finale. This refreshing effort should drink well shortly after release. From Ravera in Monforte. As the vines age they will make Barolo! From Ravera in Monforte, this is made from the youngest vines (that will eventually be made as Barolo) and is made the same way as her three Barolos and then aged in barriques for twelve months. As a baby Barolo, this has some serious pedigree with rich, plush fruit of red berries with crushed flowers. Hard to beat for the money and an ‘affordable’ cellaring option.

They understand the rule book so have thrown it away only to be used when they know they need to. I guess that's what 150 years of making wine can give you! The 2016 of this was a cracker. True to the vintage & site with bold yet refined structure. The 2019 is again a cracker and true to vintage. It was fascinating drinking a range of Claudio's Timorassos with Simone his right hand man in Oct 2024. We were fortunate to be able to look at some 2018's alongside the 2021's and 2022's. The evolution of Timorasso with those few years really makes for a very complete experience as wines that are already harmonious on release find absolute comfort in their own skins and build in complexity. Made from Macabeo & Viura.2015 was considered a very good vintage, because it was warm, dry and healthy, and the 2015 Viña Gravonia Blanco has a little more alcohol at 13%—only half a degree makes a big difference, and the wine is not as lively as other cooler vintages. I've been watching Kientzler over the last decade now and have seen them consistently produce excellent wines from the Lieu Dit Muhlforst and the Grand Cru vineyards of Osterberg, Geisberg and Schoenenbourg.Sherbety, superfine, exceptional intensity, long fine harmonious & seamless.
