Alessandro looked after the Bartolo-Mascarello vineyards & wines for 20years! We're talking one of the cult producers of Barolo! Straight from the winery cellars!

Description

The 2008 is tighter than the 2006 at the moment. From a cooler year, there is a hidden density, right now, it’s brooding, waiting to explode! Wait a couple more years and you’ll be happy. Equally wait 10 and you’ll be elated!

This wine spent 5 years in large oak botte c.5,000l and a year in bottle before release. Now a further 5 years down the track it is drinking beautifully.

We’ve got a Barolo 3 Pack that includes 1 x 2006, 1 x 2008 Riserva from Fantino and a 2012 Massolino Barolo if you feel like mixing it up!

Why is this Wine so Yummy?

For those of you who don’t know Bartolo-Mascarello, you should know that hard-core lover’s of Nebbiolo have been known to offer their first born for a few bottles of their wine. Drinking a vertical of Bartolo-Mascarello has been one of the highlights of my wine life! Alessandro left Bartolo-Mascarello in 1997 taking the reigns at the 8ha A & G Fantino with his brother. His wines are loaded with personality, coming from vineyards in Bussia, they have an elegance and finesse about them, with incredible supple tannins. So much intrigue and yumminess.

Check out the Wine Bite Mag about Bartolo Mascarello for a little bit of insight into just how immersed in wine these guys are!
