Champagne Vincent Brochet Extra Brut (Base 2015) NV

Fresh & delicious with energy, it's vital, alive! This is excellent. Fresh & delicious with energy, it's vital, alive. The blend makes for a Pinot heart shape with a Chardonnay tail giving it length. At 3g/l the fruit quality is shining through. Depth and length, fresh red fruits with a little citrus underneath. Acid balance on the money. Excellent expression. Just the right amount of grip. Ruby grapefruit, pith. Great fizz.

André Clouet V6 Experience NV

Pinot Noir | Champagne, Bouzy

This is very, very clever winemaking! This is very, very clever winemaking. Typically blended from a couple of strong vintages separated by a few year with a good slug of reserve wine builds richness and mid-palate weight. The cleverest play comes with the second fermentation and disgorgement: the seal used for the bottle during second fermentation allows a tiny amount of oxygen in each year. This promotes character development, harmonising the blend and layering in new elements. The bea

André Clouet Chalky NV

Chardonnay | Montagne de Reims, Champagne

A Blanc de Blanc from the Pinot Master of Bouzy! Chalk soils have long been considered one of the key resources enabling the Champagne region to produce such intense and refined wines. Aiming to highlight this relationship, Andre Clouet have released a new wine in their range further dialing up the crisp and salty flavours so prevalent in wines from these chalk rich soils. A 100% Chardonnay cuvee, this initial release of “Chalky” is entirely from the outstanding 2013 vintage, with vineyar

Benoît Lahaye Blanc de Noir Base 18 NV

Pinot Noir | Montagne de Reims, Bouzy

After drinking a bottle of his 2012 I literally had no choice but to get more of Benoît’s wines in! The Lahaye hallmarks are all here. Pinot shines through with red fruit of excellent length & depth. Beautifully developed with what appears to be the typical energy and superb balance of the house. Lahaye clearly has great touch in both vineyard and winery. 100% Pinot Noir from Bouzy (“Les Vaux Bétins” and “Les Hannepés” plots with deep soils) and Tauxières, in an area call

The Fabrice Session 🎧 & 🎥 Inside!
Often in the 'Pro' wine circles, you're asked to nail your banner to a mast in a blind tasting. Although a Chardonnay, Fabrice has fooled, without malice, many a Champenois, who has called this wine a Pinot. It's not so much the flavours, but, the body, richness, and, mid-palate power that this wine offers that can confuse. In the end, all of this is irrelevant. What you have in front of you is a wine of purity, line, length, excellent acid, with lovely ripe flavours, a little pith and grapef

The release of the 2015 saw the Bouzy shift from a Pinot/Chardonnay blend to a 100% Pinot. The 2015 Bouzy Grand Cru is vinous and demonstrative, and more giving than its 2014 predecessor, bursting with aromas of sweet plums, peaches, white flowers, red berries and spices. Medium to full-bodied, layered and textural, with bright acids and a precise, saline finish, it has turned out very nicely. William Kelley

The 2012 vintage is the second to be bottled from la Grande Ruelle by Benoît Marguet and it is outstanding. This is composed entirely of pinot noir and was finished non-dosé and disgorged in September of 2017. The wine is beautiful on both the nose and palate, with the bouquet offering up scents of white peach, patissière, a touch of tangerine, complex soil tones, a touch of hazelnut and a smoky topnote. On the palate the wine is full-bodied, complex and plenty deep at the core, with fine soi

Disgorged in April 2020, the 2015 La Grande Ruelle Grand Cru is lovely, mingling scents of pear and orange oil with hints of honeyed toast. Medium to full-bodied, layered and muscular, it's a concentrated, chiseled wine from vines planted in 1967 on alluvial soils. William Kelley

Fruit from 'Les Crayères' makes its way into some of Champagnes very best wines. It's the source of Egly-Ouriets Blanc de Noir! A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir this year, Marguet's 2015 Ambonnay Grand Cru Les Crayères is showing especially well, mingling aromas of pear and waxy citrus rind with notions of vanilla pod and toasted almonds. Full-bodied, layered and concentrated, it's chiseled and penetrating, with a pearly mousse and a saline, mineral finish. Only two lieux-dits were produc
