Clemens Busch Riesling Marienburg Auslese 2023

Riesling | Mosel-Saar-Ruwer, Germany

The Riesling 2023 Marienburg Auslese, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, is a fully sweet wine with a gorgeously aromatic and complex nose of honeyed yellow peach, pineapple, licorice, spices, candied grapefruit, mango, acacia, lavender, and yellow plum. The wine develops a superbly creamy, rich, mouth-coating side on the palate, with an almost viscous and unctuous side and plenty of honeyed and yellow fruits, as well as some exotic presence (mainly mango and guava). Keller Riesling ‘RR’ 2023

Riesling | Rheinhessen, Germany

RR refers to Riesling from red soils – a half-hectare parcel within Kirchspiel that gives fruit that is a little more spicy than fruit that goes into Von der Fels. This parcel doesn't always ferment to complete dryness, as was the case in 2022, where it has also been blended with some top parcels from Abtserde and Morstein (usually destined for the GGs) that also didn't ferment totally dry. The resulting blend is just off-dry, with around 12 g/L of residual sugar, making this RR a serious exam

Dr Bürklin-Wolf Riesling Forst Village MAGNUM 2023
DRY
Tasting through Burklin-Wolf's range, it always strikes me just how well they've done in classifying their vineyards and pricing them accordingly. Every once in a while, there is a site that outperforms its standing. Generally, you can rely on their classification and price point as an indicator of quality. The Village 'Forst' Riesling fits the rule of thumb to a tee. A lacing of savoury reduction plays with native yeast on high solids ferments adding multiple dimensions of complexity and richne

AP: 05 21. The 2020er Graacher Domprobst Riesling Spätlese AP 05 was made essentially from grapes harvested in the Gerdsgrub and Fergert sectors of the vineyard and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar. It proves still rather backward and marked by residual scents from its spontaneous fermentation. After a while subtly apricot-infused flavors of melon, cassis, blueberry, blackberry, and aniseed herbs emerge from the glass. The wine proves subtle, intensely cream, and nic

A beauty close to perfection. It displays intense, perfectly ripe, healthy and refined raisin fruit on the nose along with tropical hints, herbal notes and dashes of lemon juice, while the stony/mineral expressions remain rather in the background but still add excitement and distinction. On the palate, this is an incredibly juicy, piquant, refined, salty and weightless yet intense Riesling with concentrated but highly stimulating fruit. The finish is long and amazing in its sensual finesse and e
