Recioto is the ancestor of the Amarone and the most ancient wine of the Valpolicella Appellation. It is produced, like Amarone, through the grapes drying in the so-called “fruttaio”. Once the grapes have lost at least half of their weight, and with the evaporation of the water, the desired concentration of sugars is achieved, so that the vinification can take place. The fermentation is stopped to preserve this wine’s typical structure and sweetness. So, it is the only sweet wine produced in Valpolicella, but thanks to its good acidity it’s never cloying.

Clemens Busch Riesling Marienburg 'Felseterrasse' 2023
Dry
The Marienburg Felsterrasse 2023, as it is referred to on the central part of the label, was fermented down to officially dry levels of residual sugar and was bottled in August 2024. It offers a hugely complex and impressively layered nose of smoke, grapefruit, lime zest, fine spices, minty herbs (rosemary, thyme), freshly cut herbs, iodine, and violet. The wine is even more impressive on the palate, where it has great density and energy. It proves finely juicy yet straight and focused. The fini

Full-bodied, satiny and chiseled, it’s racy and intense

The 2023 Etna Rosso San Lorenzo is surprisingly rich and spicy in this vintage. Cloves and cinnamon sticks combine with hints of cherry sauce and blood orange. This is elegant in style, with seamlessly silken textures and depths of ripe red berry fruits that saturate the palate in primary concentration. Powerful and potent, the 2023 finishes with extreme length and a staining of liquid lavender that lingers for well over a minute. The 2023 is unlike any San Lorenzo I've yet tasted. This has un
