Relaxing in the glass, Massolino’s Barolo is super fine and elegant, with a real delicacy & long, fresh acidity complexed by sweet nutty tannins. The flavour profile mixes blood orange, tea, and a subtle earthiness with bright red fruit. Long even tannins, a little savouriness with a lacing of perfume over the top. A beautiful, complete aroma. The build in generosity as this ages in bottle will make this a very complete & complex wine. Super energetic, it’s a great mouthful of wine!

The Massolino 2021 Barolo reveals a shiny ruby color and a core of dark fruit. Beyond the plummy fruit is tar, licorice, pressed flower and campfire ash. This wine has a pronounced savory side, yet it all fits squarely into a very delicate and finessed delivery. This is a pretty example of the vintage.
