A little intro to Antoniolo's Nebbiolo wines. Juvenia is from the final two cru sites, Valferana and Borelle. It's unoaked. I couldn't find any details of how it's matured. Suffice to say given the skill with the Riserva level wines it's not surprising that for its standing the Juvenia marries freshness with development beautifully. At just 13% alcohol it has a density that you wouldn't see in Barolo or Barbaresco at the same alcohol. Bright, fine acid balance the fruit and dusty front-mid palat

Co-planted in a red vineyard pickers walk vine to vine searching for white grapes! 70% Carricante with a mix of other natives! Elegant & fine, lovely acid profile long even salty, good zip length, quite complete for a just released almost chalky. Sophisticated. Musk on white stonefruit with white flowers. Lovely flow. Château Pierre-Bise Savennières ‘Roche aux Moines’ 2020

Chenin Blanc | Savennières, D'Anjou-Saumur

Wine of personality keep on coming from Savennieres. Lythe, transparent fruit. Dry with pear, baking spice and candied citrus peel. Somehow they have managed to combine a weightless feel with the depth of fruit,a little phenolics and glycerol making for a luscious caress of the tongue. A fine wine that as with all dry Chenin will need a couple of years to start expressing itself in full. I can see why the 2018 managed to score 1 of just 50 wines in show out of almost 19,000 at Decanters 2021 Awa

Pretty, fine, long, textured & rich. Quince fruit with lovely caressing phenolics & a refreshing finish. A faint lick of green leafy herbs chervil or tarragon. Fine, a lovely pithy finish cleansing with a little bitterness. Wild ferment in 1200 stockingers 600 barrels. Fresh & thirst-quenching. Opened beautifully in the glass. Yum! Out to play now with plenty to come.

Excellent élévage yet so very tight. Graphite mineral thing. Long even tannins, fine vibrant red fruit fresh red cherry. Pure grape first Syrah with much more going on. Lovely shape.Longer finer feel compared with Villard’s Saint-Joseph that uses much more whole bunch. It’s a matter of preference and difference not necessarily quality between the two.More to come from both with a few years in bottle. Excellent Syrah!

Our Barbera d'Alba Superiore is made from Barbera grapes grown on our own vineyards. These vineyards are planted on Helvetian soil, which lends structure and elegance, enhanced by approximately one year of aging in wood. This is very good. Fruit development is excellent. Savoury, umami, red fruited with a lick of spice, the stalk tannin is of quality with a playful grip. Love to have this 5-7 years. From Ravera in Monforte. As the vines age they will make Barolo! From Ravera in Monforte, this is made from the youngest vines (that will eventually be made as Barolo) and is made the same way as her three Barolos and then aged in barriques for twelve months. As a baby Barolo, this has some serious pedigree with rich, plush fruit of red berries with crushed flowers. Hard to beat for the money and an ‘affordable’ cellaring option.**Due Sept 2025**

Deceptive in it’s depth and length. There is a trick exceptional wines manage, they appear weightless yet have incredible depth and layer after layer of intrigue. This is such a wine.
