About Faiveley Based in Nuits-St-Georges, the famous Domaine Faiveley was founded in 1825 and in more recent times, the domaine has greatly expanded its vineyards across the entire Côte d’Or. Domaine Didier Dagueneau Pur Sang VDF 2022

Sauvignon Blanc | Pouilly-Fumé, Centre Loire

“The 2022 Pur Sang is done in a really sophisticated style. Despite its long élevage, it needs a little more time for its oak (demi-muids and cigar-shaped barrels) to integrate fully and for its sense of strictness to mellow. But this isn't a wine you'd crack open on release anyway. It is pure and clear, with fine texture and a tenderness to its core. The 2022 shows fine lines and length, with tangy green flavors like cornichons and dill meeting green orange on the finish.”Rebecca Gibb

Nebbiolo | Serralunga d'Alba, Italy

Show the class of the vineyards and the winemakers! The stems in Teodoro, Serralunga (just next to Cerretta) are very ripe, so Vietti use 60% whole clusters to make their Barolo Riserva and then holds it in bottle another 5 years. The idea of the Barolo Riserva was born during continuous experimentations carried out both in the vineyard and in the cellar, for the choice of the grapes that will be used for the Barolo Castiglione. Throughout the years, some very high quality plots have started

Quinta do Noval Vintage Port 2003

Port | Portugal, Douro

As always this 100% single-quinta wine is drawn from Noval’s own vines. There are three core parcels, all near the winery—the terraces directly surrounding the winery in Pinhão, the vines in the Roncão Valley and a parcel overlooking the Douro River.  Each year, the blending proportions for the Vintage Port will vary depending on the vagaries of the vineyard."The Quinta do Noval Vintage 2003 has a gorgeous raisin, fig and clove-scented bouquet with more freshness than the whole of

“The 2016 Valpolicella Superiore Monte Lodoletta is intense, with a captivating bouquet that blends cedar shavings, savory herbs and balsamic spices with rum-soaked cherries, sweet lavender and dark chocolate. This sweeps across the palate with silken textures, delivering masses of tart red and black fruits along with hints of espresso bean. Crunchy mineral tones and zesty acidity add dramatic lift. The 2016 tapers off long and staining, sporting a pleasantly bitter tinge of cocoa as grippy ta

"The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots is open and expressive, offering up aromas of pear, white flowers, toasted hazelnuts, freshly baked bread and buttery pastry. Medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a satiny attack that segues into an enveloping mid-palate, it's structured around bright acids and chalky extract.” William Kelly, The Wine Advocate 92-94 Points“The 2022 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru had finished its malo and was waiting to be racked. Great intensity and transparency! The 2022er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese initially shows a refined smoky and reductive touch of candied lime, whipped almond cream, smoke, fresh herbs, a touch of cassis, elderberry, bergamot, and lime tree. The wine is superbly and elegantly creamy and juicy with good structure and intensity. The finish proves incredibly intense and even slightly powerful, yet there is the usual sense of Prüm lightness in the aftertaste. This is a very impressive Spät

The 2022er Graacher Himmelreich Riesling Auslese GK was made from shriveled rather than botrytized fruit and was fermented down to noble-sweet levels of residual sugar. It offers a superbly refreshing and pure nose of candied lime, tangerine, pineapple, spearmint, lavender, cassis, acacia, lime tree, rosemary, and dried apricot. The wine proves superbly concentrated and focused and leaves a very intense and almost broad feel of honeyed exotic fruits. The finish has huge length and intensity. Thi

The 2023 Chassagne-Montrachet Virondot 1er Cru is a worthy follow-up to the impressive 2022. Very complex and harmonious on the nose, it just could not be from anywhere but Chassagne, combining very subtle yellow fruit notes with stirring mineralité. The palate is beautifully balanced with a fine bead of acidity. It's quite energetic at the moment, which will hopefully be captured in the bottle. There's a very sustained spicy aftertaste that completes a great Chassagne.Neal Martin, Vinous 9

Cappellano Barolo ‘Rupestris’ 2020

Nebbiolo | Serralunga d'Alba, Barolo

The 2020 Barolo Rupestris is elegant, sculpted wine. It shows the mid-weight structure of the year nicely. Sweet red cherry fruit, mint, chalk, white pepper, orange peel and dried flowers open with some coaxing. I would leave this alone in the cellar for a few years, as time in bottle is essential here. I won't be surprise if this fills out a bit over the coming years, as is often the case here. Drink 2026-2045Antonio Galloni - NR as per request from Cappellano

With fruit from the Cannubi Boschis vineyard, the 2021 Barolo Aleste is a lavish and beautiful expression with dark fruit, spice, licorice, cola and blue flower. The house style is always fruit-forward and bold at the Sandrone family estate, but you can also count on the wines to show excellent contouring with oak spice, soft richness and texture thanks to expertly applied tonneaux aging. The balance is impeccable.Monica Larner, The Wine Advocate 97 PointsThe 2021 Barolo Aleste is of

Moderate reduction dominates the nose at present. There is both better complexity and mid-palate density to the still supple and delicious medium-bodied flavors that conclude in a more powerful and noticeably more structured finale. This has fine development potential and is a wine that will need at least some patience. Drink: 2030+Allen Meadows, Burghound 89-91 Points
