Tiberio Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOP 2022

Montepuliciano | Italy, Abruzzo

Cerasuolo is a generic term used for Rosé in some parts of Italy. Tiberio have nailed this one. Bone dry, crunchy, juicy, vibrant, a wonderful refreshing zing from super fine acid. It's divine! A fine layer of tannin offers just enough grip to add textural intrigue. Guido's note is bang on. Don't overchill it. Definitely knock it back to 10°C and allow it to play in the low teens as you devour it.Paul Kaan, Wine DecodedThe 2022 Cerasuolo d'Abruzzo seduces with its perfumed blend of

Tiberio Montepuliciano d’Abruzzo DOP 2022

Montepuliciano | Italy, Abruzzo

In it's youth it needs plenty of air. You could easily drink a bottle over a few days. Put your decanter to work and throw this puppy around. Immediately, it weaves together, the loose edges smoothen, and the expression builds. A rich wine that remains energetic. Red and dark fruited, layered with baking spices, cloves and florals. Slatey tannins with a playful grip cleanse. Proper wine that will offer much more with time in bottle. It's an impressive introduction to Tiberio's reds. I can't wait

Domaine Marcel Deiss ‘Ribeauvillé’ 2020

Riesling ~ Sylvanner ~ Pinot Blanc = Seamless, Delicious, Expressive, Beautiful! A blend of mostly Riesling and a small percentage of the Sylvaner and Pinot Blanc.Riesling shining through with perfumed, white flowers, elderflower, lemon citrus and baking spices.  This one reminds me of the 2017, fine boned, a sophistication yet with the hallmark complexity and textural intrigue that Deiss always manages to achieve. The quality, line and length of acid here is insane, so gentle yet with a

Fascinating tasting this with Burghound’s note and next to a 2020 Guillard ‘Reniard’ from Gevrey-Chambertin. The villages of Savigny-lès-Beaune and Chorey-lès-Beaune tend to show the sunshine a little more compared to those both further south and north. Dark and clearly ripe, Pavelot has maintained energy and vitality. The tannins build to a crescendo along the palate balancing the richness with a fine acid. The shape and flow are generous, yet linear with that quality tannin and persist

Le Chiuse Rosso di Montalcino 2021
🇮🇹2021 Has Landed!🍷

Le Chiuse Rosso di Montalcino 2021

Sangiovese | Tuscany, Italy

Le Chiuse's Rosso di Montalcino just Keeps Getting Better! What a Rosso. I agree with Guido, it's dark and a little broody. Yet lively at the same time. Opening in the glass, blood orange, slate and dark spices layer into woody herbs. Incredibly complex and layered for a Rosso at this price point. Fine tannins with a playful cleansing grip wrap fruit of depth and length. A very good grape first Rosso, bold yet refreshing!Dark, animalistic and nearly feral, the 2021 Rosso di Montalcino is

Terre Nere Etna Bianco 2024

White Blend | Sicily, Etna

A whiff of lemon oil mixes with sweet mint and crushed rocks as the 2024 Etna Bianco opens in the glass. This is juicy and playful in feel with ripe melon and a cascade of inner florals that swirl throughout. It leaves a salty sensation and nuances of candied citrus on the wickedly fresh finish. A juicy wine for the category with plenty of cassis character, but that doesn’t mean it’s really full-bodied. In fact, at the finish it’s quite a light and austere wine with a lot of herbal and green-leaf tea flavors. Drink or hold.Stuart Piggot
