The unique yeast that grows on top of the sherry protecting it from oxidation. When aged under flor, a wine is considered to be undergoing biological maturation. The flor yeast consuming oxygen, alcohol, and, volatile acidity, in turn the produce metabolites that add unique characters and textures to the wine. Each Bodega has a unique endemic flor, that as Jesús from Equipo Navazos would say, is one of the two sherry terroirs, the other the vineyard.

A rare opportunity to try a beautiful wine from a beautiful vintage! Although not a Cru in its own right, Rocche Rivera is recognised as a position within the Scarrone Cru of great importance. Rocche Rivera has dizzying slopes to say the least, in the same vein as the adjacent Rocche di Castiglione, and generally shows an extra touch of perfumed elegance. Fuligni Brunello di Montalcino MAGNUM 2019

Sangiovese | Tuscany, Italy

Dusty and floral, the 2019 Brunello di Montalcino opens with a perfumed blend of dried roses, cherries, mint and lavender candies. It’s elegant and seamlessly silky on the palate, enveloping the senses with ripe red berry fruits contrasted by a bitter clove tinge. A core of brisk acidity maintains a lovely balance as a web of fine tannins saturates the palate, and a pleasantly chewy sensation remains. The 2019 is classic to the core. The second of Fratelli Alessandria’s Crus from Verduno that sits immediately next to Monvigliero. 'This vineyard delivers slightly more concentrated fruit and a medium-dark appearance from loamy calcareous soils. The 2019 Barolo San Lorenzo di Verduno delivers more oomph and power with ripe cherry, blackcurrant, dark spice and earthy aromas.
