Feeling Thirsty?

Too steep for animals here and slippery too – so everything done by hand. A wide nose, half mineral and saline. Bigger – full, framed with fresh, melting acidity, insinuating delicious flavour. Very long – that’s another great 2018!  Bill Nanson

It's the texture and flow that separate Shaun's Dapple wines from others! Excellent density, line and length with chalky, mineral ,saline acid and succulent fruit. Serious mid-palate depth. Calm and patient winemaking showing. After 4 hours in the glass only a month after bottling, it starts to reveal itself. White flowers and that trademark lick of reduction wrap a core of fruit that shows depth only achieved with vine age. Let alone a 30% crop reduction.  Excellent flow.

MAGNUM ONLY 290 MADE!
Bottled in Magnum only, 290 bottled. This tiny monopole of the Domaine measures only 9.81 ares or the equivalent of only one-quarter of an acre; planted in 1947. This was de-stemmed, fermented in barrel, no pigeage and was not offered for tasting. Comes in its own wooden box. My note from the 2016: Opens with juicy crunchy fruit that takes just a little while to settle in. More immediately overt than the others. There’s a build in tannin here that when you relate it back to the viney

David Duband Nuits-Saint-Georges 2019

Pinot Noir | Nuits-Saint-Georges, France

"A relatively airy and cool nose freely offers up notes of various red berries, earth and a floral top note. The sleek and relatively refined middle weight flavors contrast somewhat with the youthfully austere and mildly rustic finale that exhibits slightly better depth and persistence on the more structured finale. This is quite a good Nuits villages and worth a look. ♥" Allen Meadows, Burghound
