Super refined and long with the finish offering all kinds of florals and exotic spice! I haven't had a chance to taste these and reviews aren't out yet. Given the consistency and the comments on the vintage below from Bouland and Morris they're just a no brainer. One of the wineries I buy from each year without hesitation. This is the largest and most famous Grand Cru; its fame based on its history as one of Chablis’ first vineyards. The appellation enjoys a southerly aspect with very white, dense and deep clay soil, resting on a limestone bed 80 cm below the ground, which brings to the wine those spicy notes so typical of this terroir. Well I couldn't find a review of this and haven't had a chance to taste it. Given the other 9 wines from 2016 and 2017 I've tried it's hard to see this being anything but true to form and simply put a 2017 version of the 2016! My Note on the 2016: Opens with juicy crunchy fruit that takes just a little while to settle in. More immediately overt than the others. There’s a build in tannin here that when you relate it back to the vineyard location near Rugien and listen to Anne Parents

Burgundy meets Côte-Rôtie
Côte-Rôtie is often compared to Burgundy for it's detailed vineyard breakdown. Like Burgundy we see dramatic differences in the wines from vineyard to vineyard.
