Shallow, thigh deep, open granite tanks used for fermenting Port wines. After the fruit is placed in the lagare it is foot stomped in a process called the corte, the cut. This gently extracts all colour, tannin and flavour from the grapes.

Feeling Thirsty?

Fresh vibrant juicy fruit, juicy acid, beetroot on cherry. Delightful, elegant, savoury playful, could get cerebral if you want but don’t have to. 35-90 year old vine. Energy, lovely fine texture, with veil of ever so slightly dusty tannins. Heart shaped fruit tapering with delicacy into a long finish. Excellent contrast to the power of Morgon, the finess and elegance of Fleurie at play.

From Ravera in Monforte, this is made from the youngest vines (that will eventually be made as Barolo) and is made the same way as her three Barolos and then aged in barriques for twelve months. As a baby Barolo, this has some serious pedigree with rich, plush fruit of red berries with crushed flowers. Hard to beat for the money and an ‘affordable’ cellaring option.**Due Sept 2025**

With patience, they will yield something quite beautiful.Paul Kaan, Wine Decoded KO 95'Aeroplanservaj' the Wild Aeroplane was Domenico's father's nickname for his

Great intensity and transparency! The 2022er Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spätlese initially shows a refined smoky and reductive touch of candied lime, whipped almond cream, smoke, fresh herbs, a touch of cassis, elderberry, bergamot, and lime tree. The wine is superbly and elegantly creamy and juicy with good structure and intensity. The finish proves incredibly intense and even slightly powerful, yet there is the usual sense of Prüm lightness in the aftertaste. This is a very impressive Spät
